N.V. Skwalla is an river transportation company utilizing pontoons and tug boats for transporting commodities over inland waterways. It’s wide range of tugs and pontoons can transport bulk materials as well as equipment. Skwalla can also provide small dredging services.
About Skwalla
From its establishment in January 1962, the company grew rapidly by the transportation of raw materials. Currently consisting of more than 12 vessels for transport of raw materials such as sand, gravel and crushed stones with a total transport capacity of over 200,000 tons for the local market and export on a yearly basis. This makes Skwalla the largest transport company of raw materials for the building industry in Suriname.
Skwalla also rents out barges for transport of equipment and materials, and owns barges up to 1,000 tons bearing capacity.
